LIVE IN CARE

We have a professional team of private carers who specialise in live-in care. Our managers are based in West Yorkshire and provide care using fully certificated carers all over the Region. Our main aim is to deliver a high standard of care to people within their own homes. Many of our carers have been caring all their working lives and are dedicated to supporting our clients. Our managers have a wealth of experience in running this Care Angels live-in care service, as well as fourteen years of caring in the care industry. We pride ourselves on the standard of care we deliver, and work continuously towards the National Care Standards Regulation

NIGHT SITS

  • Your carer will stay awake all night to offer support and assistance throughout the night.
  • Your carer will help you to retire to bed, assist with personal care in the morning and breakfast, depending upon your requirements.

What we are unable to do:

  • Due to risk of falls, staff can not stand on anything to reach up at arms length.
  • Put money on the lottery or place bets for service users.
  • All calls assessed by professionals to be a 2 to 1 (2 carers to provide care for 1 service user) are not to be carried out by 1 carer (calls are assessed by appropriate professionals pending on professional assessment this will determine whether 1 carer is required or 2 carers)
  • Work in a service user’s home without the service user/relative being present.
  • Undertake any medical treatment which should be carried out by a trained nurse.

Tailoring Care For You

For people requiring full time assistance, and preferring to stay in the comfort of their own home we welcome you to the perfect solution. An initial phone call will leave you fully assured of the service we offer and answer any queries and questions you may have.

Upon deciding Care Angels (Batley) Ltd is the best option, a meeting is arranged with a Care Coordinator to visit the service user plus any family members who wish to be present. The aim of the meeting is to introduce Care Angels (Batley) Ltd Domiciliary Care and talk with you to gain an insight into the service we will be required to perform.

By having an informal discussion with the Service User and others present, the Care Co-ordinator is subtly ascertaining exactly what level of service is required. Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make all the difference; from breakfast in bed, taking medication before any other tasks are carried out to having your hair done just so, our service allows us to be this specific to enable the most professional and pleasing service.

During our assessment process we may need to ask quite a lot of questions and, if necessary, seek additional information from your carer, your doctor, and any other specialists who know about your health and needs. A specially trained member of staff will carry out the assessment and all information will be treated confidentially. Our aim is always to make sure that we understand your needs and preferences, so that we can respond in the way that really suits you best.

After the meeting, a bespoke Care Plan is drawn up which provides guidelines appertaining to the tasks that the Care Angels Staff is required to do on a daily basis.

Once a specific Care Plan has been developed one of our Office Team will call with detailed costs of the care package and enquire as to whether you/the Client are happy and wish to proceed with Access Care.

Scheduled Reviews of Care Plans are conducted on an annual basis as part of the Clients ‘Case management’ and as and when circumstances change, to ensure we are always providing the exact service required.

We also ensure we speak to all of our Carers and Service Users each week to ensure we are kept abreast of circumstances that may dictate a change in the service we are providing. This way we are also able to keep concerned relatives informed as to the welfare of a loved one.

Pallative Care/End of Life Care

Palliative care is a specialized form of care that aims to enhance the quality of life of service users and their families who are faced with serious illness. It focuses on increasing comfort through prevention and treatment of distressing symptoms. In addition to expert symptom management, palliative care focuses on clear communication, advance care planning, and coordination of care.

Palliative care encompasses the whole self, caring for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families. It provides relief from pain and other symptoms of illness such as fatigue nausea, shortness of breath, and loss of appetite. The goal is to prevent and relieve these symptoms so you can get on with daily life.

  • provides relief from pain, shortness of breath, nausea and other distressing symptoms;
  • affirms life and regards dying as a normal process;
  • intends neither to hasten nor to postpone death;
  • integrates the psychological and spiritual aspects of patient care;
  • offers a support system to help patients live as actively as possible;
  • offers a support system to help the family cope;
  • uses a team approach to address the needs of patients and their families;
  • will enhance quality of life;
  • is applicable early in the course of illness, in conjunction with other therapies that are intended to prolong life, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

Care Angels believe while palliative care may seem to offer a broad range of services, the goals of palliative treatment are concrete: relief from suffering, treatment of pain and other distressing symptoms, psychological and spiritual care, a support system to help the individual live as actively as possible and a support system to sustain and rehabilitate the individual’s family.
